Introduction

The power generation of new energy sources such as photovoltaic, wind power and nuclear energy is increasing year by year, which motivates more extensive requirements for the safety and reliability of the power equipment (Transformer, Circuit breakers, Disconnecting switch, Contactor, etc.) in the new energy power systems. Considering the insulation performance of the power equipment is an important indicator, which can directly affect its safety, it is essential to pay attentions regarding these topics. Therefore, the advanced insulation testing, modeling and simulation technology of power equipment are always the hot topics in the field of electrical engineering.
In this session, we focus on the advanced insulation testing technology, method of modelling and simulation of LV/HV and DC/AC power equipment. With collaboration the new technology and methods in this field, it is believed the theoretical support and technical guidance can be laid for promoting the development of advanced power equipment in the future.

Topics:

  • Advanced insulation testing technology of power equipment
  • Advanced method of modelling and simulation for power equipment
  • Fault detection and diagnosis of power equipment
  • Advanced interruption technology of DC/AC switchgear (Circuit breakers, Disconnecting switch, Contactor, etc.)
  • Arc MHD simulation and analysis for switchgear
  • Temperature rises calculation of GIS and Low voltage switchgear
